Construction alert - PennDOT is repairing The Norman Wood Bridge. As of October 15, 2015, the bridge is now open to one lane of traffic, although only vehicles that weigh less than 5 tons and are less than 8-feet wide will be permitted to cross.
Some of our campers will be traveling to our campground on a route that requires you to cross Norman Wood Bridge if you're taking Route 372 over the Susquehanna River between Lancaster and York counties.
PennDOT has established a signed detour to the south directing traffic over the Route 1 bridge in Maryland.
Travelers may take the Route 462 and U.S. 30 bridges over the Susquehanna River to the north of the Norman Wood Bridge are the nearest crossings in Pennsylvania.
